It’s been amazing seeing him do things of his own volition—he just wants to do it. His confidence has grown so much, and building those skills has had a flow-on effect in so many other areas of his life.
– Participant Parent – 2025 Thrive Program
Thrive immerses you in independent living with a hands-on approach. Every fortnight for 10 weeks, you’ll live with housemates in a small group for three days (2 nights), applying skills like cooking, cleaning, budgeting, self-care, and time management—all while maintaining your regular daytime activities. Our staff will support you as you take on real-life tasks and build the confidence to live independently.
The program runs year-round with new 10-week blocks starting in January, April, July and October. Each program is developed to provide a unique experience, with ongoing focus areas throughout the year, so that participants have the opportunity to really solidify the skills they have learned.
We currently run the following programs on a fortnightly basis (start and finish times are flexible based on your personal schedule):
Weeks 1 & 2 – Routines & Daily Life
Weeks 3 & 4 – My Safety
Week 5 (& 6 for Q2) – Healthy Body, Healthy Mind (includes group outing in the final week)
We recommend that people start at the beginning of a new block. If you are interested in joining our Thrive community and would like to start straight away, we would be happy to discuss any current program vacancies with you
Our Thrive program utilises a person’s Core Supports budget from their NDIS plan, offering flexibility with multiple pricing options so you get the most out of your funding.
NDIA Funding options (per 10 week program)
| Budget | Budget Category | Approx NDIS Funding required (1:2 ratio) |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Core Supports (Assistance with Daily Life) | $7,400.00** |
| 01 + 04 | Core Supports (Assistance with Daily Life) + (Assistance with Social & Community Participation) | $7,400.00** |
| 01 | Core Supports (Short Term Respite) | $10,500.00 |
** These options incur a small out of pocket expense of $250.00 per person, per session which covers accommodation and food costs. If required, we can work with you to develop a payment plan so that cost does not become a barrier to participation.
